Jenna Gazzola - a murder victim in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Jenna Gazzola, age 34, died on or before April 18, 2016, at her apartment in the Corktown District of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Jenna Gazzola
Hamilton is about 45 miles southwest of Toronto, Canada.

Tragically, Jenna was found deceased on April 19, 2016.  Her dog had been found wandering the hallways of the apartment building which led the caretaker to call the police.

Shane Shakeshaft, age 27, who lived on the same floor of the apartment building as Jenna, has been charged with first degree murder.

It has been reported that Jenna's door was forced in. It is not believed that Jenna had any relationship with this man, other than possibly to say hello when passing in the hallway. However, as of this posting, their relationship is uncertain.

However, how does it happen that a door is forced in, in an apartment building, and no one hears the commotion?  No one steps outside of their apartment door to see what is happening on their floor? No one intervenes or calls the police?

God save us from an increasingly disconnected and unconcerned society.

If you have any information about this crime, you are urged to call the Hamilton Police Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit tips online at crimestoppershamilton.com.
