Jeremy Cook - an 18 year old killed over a cellphone in London, Ontario

Jeremy Cook
Jeremy Cook, age 18, died on June 14, 2015, in London, Ontario.

Jeremy was a native of Brampton, Ontario.

Jeremy had taken a taxi and had left his cellphone inside the vehicle. He traced the phone's location by using a mobile-tracking app. He and a relative went to the phone's location and were confronted by three men in a car.

Details are sketchy but it has been reported that when Jeremy tried to retrieve his phone the vehicle pulled away.  Jeremy grabbed on to the driver's side door and it was then that he was shot.

At about 5:15 a.m., Jeremy was found deceased at the rear of a stip mall in the north end of London. He had died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The car driven by the shooters was found abandoned nearby after hitting a fence and a tree.

Jeremy had no connection to the attackers and had never been in trouble with the Police.

The suspects are three black males between the ages of 18 and 21. Anyone with
Father, place Jeremy on the Stairway
to Heaven.
information is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.

Jeremy had graduated from Notre Dame High School in Brampton in 2014. He moved to London, Ontario to attend Fanshawe College. He wanted to become a carpenter and he had spent last summer running his own woodworking company making high quality outdoor furniture. He was currently looking for a position as a carpentry apprentice.

Friends describe Jeremy as a hard working kid, who had volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face.

We put this question to the thieves who killed Jeremy: What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Jeremy's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Oceans of tears will be shed for this young man.

Jeremy is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Pray for justice for Jeremy.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Jeremy is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
