Daniel Scott White - store clerk murdered in Glendale, Arizona

Scott White
Daniel Scott White, age 26, died on March 10, 2014 at a hospital in Glendale, Arizona.

He went by the name Scott.

Scott was an employee at a gas station/convenience store and was working the overnight shift. Details are very conflicting about this incident, but at about 1:45 a.m., a man drove up, filled up with gas, went into the store, came out and shot Scott in the head. He fired several more shots at Scott and sped away.

There is no apparent motive for this murder. It is unclear if an argument ensued between this man and Scott over the gas purchase or if the murderer was on a killing rampage.
Angels of God, pray for
Scott and for those who have
lost him.

It is believed that Andrew Rael, age 25, was Scott's murderer. On March 9, 2014, Rael had killed Michael Psalidas, age 49, outside an auto-repair business in Buckeye. It is believed that they argued over an outstanding bill. Rael was himself shot and killed by Police on March 10, 2014.

Andrew Rael was an ex-convict who had served time for two assaults. Recently, it seemed that he was doing alright and following the conditions of his parole.

Scott's co-workers are mourning his tragic and senseless death.

Scott's family are devastated by the death of their loved one. They describe him as a young man who was dedicated to his family. He was trying to do his best for his wife and child. Scott was working nights so his wife could work days while he cared for their 3 1/2-year-old autistic son.

He will be forever missed.

A fund has been set up with the Wells Fargo Bank - Daniel Scott White Donation Fund - Account No. 6309706304 to help with funeral and other expenses.

Scott is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife, Josie and his 3 1/2 year old son.

God save us from the Lost Ones who bring death to strangers. They are killing us, Father.

Pray that Scott is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

I am Larry Brown Scott Whites cousin. The family has been so broken over all of this that its difficult to find the words to say. I have set up a Facebook page for people to go and pay their respects and to get information about where and how to donate to the family.

Thank you so much for your love and prayers.

Andrew Rael was on a rampage, plain and simple. Police have told us he suffered from a mental illness yet was released into the care of his mother. He was driving his mother's Jaguar, a car he obtained after his initial murder. He had at least 2 guns so he could NOT have been in compliance with his parole as he was a convicted felon. We have also been told by police that Mr. Rael was moving out of his mother's home that day. I also have learned one of the victims he assaulted was a Sheriff's deputy. Reports Scottie followed Mr. Rael out of the store and confronted him are utterly false. Scottie took the man's money and he pumped his gas with zero conflicts. Surveillance footage shows Scottie standing outside the store taking a break, when Mr. Rael pulled up to the front of the store and murdered our son in cold blood, shooting him 9 times; at least 6 in the face. The fact that Mr. Rael did not use the assault rifle to murder our youngest ch8ld means he got that gun put it in his mother's Jaguar and decided to not go back to prison but die at the hands of the police. He would need an assault rifle to fire at men who were wearing armored vests in order to take as many of them with him as possible. I am weary of the stories that paint my sn out as someone who "confronted" Mr Rael. My sn was working to support his 3 1/2 year old autistic son and his wife Josie. We learned Saturday our son was to be a father again. News he would have been so overjoyed to hear, but did not get the chance. When this second child is born our precious Scottie will have been gone for 8 months. I can assure you one thing; if there is a heaven Scottie is there. Sincerely, Cathy White
