Joaquín Correa-Ortega - Law Enforcement - Puerto Rico

Joaquín Correa-Ortega 
Agent Joaquín Correa-Ortega, age 36, died in the line of duty, on March 10, 2014, in Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Joaquín was a member of the Puerto Rico Police Department. He had 12 years of service. He worked with the Criminal Intelligence Unit.

Joaquín and another officer were working undercover in the Pitaya neighborhood of Humacao. They were at a location where vehicles, horses, guns and other items are sold illegally.

The two officers were in the middle of a transaction when they were shot. Joaquín was killed and the other officer was shot in the head.

murder. One suspect was shot and killed at the scene.

The Puerto Rico Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother.

Joaquín's family are devastated over his sudden and senseless death.

Joaquín is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and child.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

God save us from the Lost Ones who bring death to others.

Pray that Joaquín is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
