David Glasser - Police Officer Fatality - Phoenix, Arizona

David Glasser

Police Officer David Glasser, age 35, died in the line of duty on May 19, 2016, at a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Officer Glasser was a member of the Phoenix Police Department. He worked in the Maryvale Precinct. He had 12 years of service.

The day before, on May 18, 2016, the Police had received a call from a man in the suburb of Laveen stating that his son was entering his house and stealing guns from the home.

Officer Glasser and other officers responded and found the son sitting in a van in the driveway of the house. The male opened fire on the officers. David Glasser was wounded.

Other officers opened fire and killed the 19 year old shooter.

David was rushed to a local hospital where the next day, tragically, he died of his injuries.

David grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Moon Valley High School in 2000. He later graduated from Arizona State University.

John Still - a store clerk murdered in Phoenix, Arizona

John Still, age 46, died on April 18, 2015, at a Circle K convenience store in Phoenix, Arizona. 

John was working a Saturday night shift when an armed robber entered the store at about 10 p.m. 

During the robbery, John was shot and tragically died of his injuries at the scene. 

The suspect is a white male in his 30's, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans, and a grey beanie cap.

A few years ago, John had moved from San Diego to Phoenix to be with his new wife who is disabled.

Sarah Drewer - a victim of domestic violence in Scottsdale, Arizona

Sarah Drewer, age 33, died on February 3, 2015, at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Juan Romero, a construction worker in the area, heard a child's screams coming from the house and went inside. He witnessed a struggle between a man and a woman, and managed to wrestle a gun away from the man. He took a young child and the woman outside of the house, but shortly thereafter the man came outside with another gun. The man, Douglas Drewer, age 46, shot Sarah and then himself. Tragically, both died at the scene.

Their 5 year old son witnessed these tragedies on the sidewalk outside of their home. A second child was not at home.

Earlier that week the Police had served Douglas Drewer with a protective order and removed him, as well as several weapons, from the family's home.

This couple had been experiencing marital troubles since 2009 or earlier. Sarah had filed for several restraining orders against Douglas.

Douglas Drewer worked at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear which is a suburb of Phoenix. Sarah was a nurse. In recent years she had lost 100 pounds of weight which is a huge accomplishment.

Friends stated that Sarah was trying under difficult circumstances to get away from Douglas and the violence. She was afraid for herself and for her children. She will be forever remembered.

If you are experiencing a relationship breakdown and feel that you are getting out of control because of it:

• Speak to a friend or a family member who you know is calm and who will not exacerbate the situation. 
• Speak to a priest, a pastor or someone you trust. 
• Go to the local hospital's emergency room and say that you are losing it and that you need help. You may need psychological counselling. You may need strong prescription drugs to calm you down. 
• Turn yourself in to the local Police, saying that you feel violently out of control and that you don't trust your own actions. 
• Do anything you can to prevent yourself from murdering the person you once loved.

Sarah's loved ones are devastated over her senseless and tragic death. She is described as a woman who had a passion for life who was trying to retake control of her life. She kept many of her troubles to herself. She was kind, funny and good-natured.

Sarah is survived by many loving friends and family members. She will be forever mourned.

Grant Ronnebeck - a store clerk killed in Mesa, Arizona

Grant Ronnebeck, age 21, died on January 22, 2015, at a convenience store in Mesa, Arizona.

Grant was working the night shift at the store. Around 4:00 a.m., a man walked in and wanted a pack of cigarettes. He handed over a handful of change. It has been reported that the man wanted the cigarettes right then. Grant is believed to have said that he had to count the money first. As Grant was counting the change, the customer pulled out a gun and shot Grant, fatally wounding him.

Grant died at the scene of the crime.

The shooter fled the scene but a description of his car led the Police to look for him. He had to be chased for 25 miles before he crashed the vehicle and was apprehended.

Grant had worked at the convenience store for over 4 years.

His friends and coworkers are devastated over his death. They describe him as dedicated and well-liked. He had a constant smile. He had a big heart, and was a loving and outgoing young man. He tried to do his best.

Kris Chambers - a woman cyclist killed by an impaired driver in Tucson, Arizona

Kris Chambers, age 38, died on June 18, 2014, on a street in Tucson, Arizona.

Kris was cycling at about 6:00 a.m. when she was struck from behind by an impaired driver who ran a red light. She was on her way to her regular cycling route which was the Santa Cruz River Path. She died at the scene.

Kris grew up near San Francisco. She had lived in Tucson for the past 7 years. She loved skateboarding and roller blading. She had just finished massage therapy training and was looking forward to opening her own business.

Friends said that Kris was an all-out cyclist. She biked all the time. It was her passion.

Gerardo Cazarez

Gerardo Cazarez, age 25, has been arrested in connection with this tragedy. Gerardo admitted to being high on street drugs (synthetic marijuana) at the time of his collision with Kris Chambers. He has been charged with second degree murder.

Friends describe Kris as helpful to everyone who was her friend. She was always willing to help out. She had a sense of humor and a resounding laugh.

Still others describe Kris as a compassionate and dynamic woman who will be forever remembered.

Kevin Vicente - a 4 year old mauled by a pit bull dog in Phoenix, Arizona

Kevin was in the company of a male babysitter, while his mother was at work.  The circumstances of the attack seem muddied.  However, it has been reported that the boy tried to pick up a bone that was on the ground near the chained dog, when the dog attacked the boy. 

Kevin was hospitalized at a local hospital with a broken eye socket, broken cheek bone and broken lower jaw bone. He is recovering but doctors state that Kevin will require months and possibly years of reconstructive surgeries.

How painful will these surgeries be for this little boy in the coming years?  It has not been determined if his damaged eye socket will be able to produce tears, which will result in constant attention and medication in the future. 

It has been reported that the pit bull, "Mickey", killed another dog last year.

The issue of the euthanasia of Mickey will go before a court in Phoenix on March 25, 2014. 

Supporters of "Mickey" have a Facebook page, an advocacy group and a lawyer who are pushing to save this mutt because it is a "poor, innocent dog".   This support page has over 40,000 "likes" in support. Almost $6,000. has been collected to fight the euthanization of this dog. 

Jesus, all saints and all angels pray for us.  God save us from this stupidity. 

Mauling by dogs is not acceptable in a civilized country.  This dog has demonstrated the ability to maim a child. 

What more proof do you need that this dog is a current danger and is a possible future danger to human beings? 

Where are the lawmakers in Phoenix and in Arizona?  Why do you allow dangerous dog breeds to exist in your jurisdiction? Many other towns, cities and states ban these nasty mutts outright and so should you. 

Any judge in Arizona who allows this dog to continue to live and to be a possible future threat to the populace should re-examine his or her usefulness in the justice system.

Daniel Scott White - store clerk murdered in Glendale, Arizona

Daniel Scott White, age 26, died on March 10, 2014 at a hospital in Glendale, Arizona.

He went by the name Scott.

Scott was an employee at a gas station/convenience store and was working the overnight shift. Details are very conflicting about this incident, but at about 1:45 a.m., a man drove up, filled up with gas, went into the store, came out and shot Scott in the head. He fired several more shots at Scott and sped away.

There is no apparent motive for this murder. It is unclear if an argument ensued between this man and Scott over the gas purchase or if the murderer was on a killing rampage.

It is believed that Andrew Rael, age 25, was Scott's murderer. On March 9, 2014, Rael had killed Michael Psalidas, age 49, outside an auto-repair business in Buckeye. It is believed that they argued over an outstanding bill. Rael was himself shot and killed by Police on March 10, 2014.

Andrew Rael was an ex-convict who had served time for two assaults. Recently, it seemed that he was doing alright and following the conditions of his parole.

Scott's co-workers are mourning his tragic and senseless death.

Scott's family are devastated by the death of their loved one. They describe him as a young man who was dedicated to his family. He was trying to do his best for his wife and child. Scott was working nights so his wife could work days while he cared for their 3 1/2-year-old autistic son.

He will be forever missed.

Claudia Ann Lucero - a teenage murder victim in Mesa, Arizona

Claudia Ann Lucero, age 14, died on December 5 or December 6, 2013, in Mesa, Arizona.

Claudia's body was found in a dumpster outside an apartment complex in that city.

She was last seen at about 6.30 am on December 5, 2013, at her Mesa home. The girl's mother reported her as a possible runaway at 10 pm that day, and her body turned up in the dumpster about two hours later.

Alex Anthony Madrid, age 31, has been arrested in connection with the death of

Claudia. Alex Madrid was the boyfriend of Claudia's mother.

Alex Madrid is facing charges of murder, kidnapping, sexual assault and other charges. Apparently, he had lived with Claudia and her mother until a few weeks ago. He was kicked out of the apartment when he allegedly touched Claudia wrongly. She didn't like Alex and didn't want him around her home.

Claudia attended Westwood High School. Her friends at school stated that she excelled in her studies, was friendly to everyone and had a sense of humor.

Friends and loved ones also describe Claudia as talkative, friendly, and just starting to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She liked hip hop music, fashion and make-up.

Claudia is survived by many loving friends and family members, including her mother and her brother, Ricky Lucero.

Erick Bridges - store clerk murdered in Tucson, Arizona

Erick Bridges, age 22, died on May 18, 2013, in Tuscon, Arizona.

On May 17, 2013, in the early morning hours, Erick was stabbed by an unknown assailant at the convenience store where Erick worked.

Erick was found by a customer at about 1:00 a.m. and he was taken to a local hospital. He passed away the following day.

It has been suggested that this murder may have been committed in retaliation against Erick who wouldn't let drug dealers pedal drugs in the store while he was on shift. This was not a robbery.

However, the motive for this crime is unknown as of this posting.

Ulises Ocampo and Parish Ocampo - murdered in Phoenix, Arizona

Ulises Ocampo, age 46, and his son, Parish Ocampo, age 21, died on March 8, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Two men forced their way into the Ocampo home at about 2:30 a.m., went from room to room, to find Ulises and Parish.

The mother and a younger brother were in the home at the time, hid themselves and were not injured.

Two black males are believed to be the killers. If you have information about this crime, please call Phoenix Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS

The suspects fled without taking anything. There is no description of a possible suspect vehicle.

This sounds a lot like a drug related killing. However, the police have found no indication as of this posting, that the victims were involved in any criminal activity. It has been speculated that the Ocampos were not the target and that the shooters may have been at the wrong place.

Parish graduated in 2009 from Arcadia High School in Phoenix. He was a talented soccer player there.

He was currently working with a pharmaceutical company.

Parish wanted to go to college and he wanted to one day live in France and have his own international business.

Family friends describe Parish as a great young man who was dedicated to helping others. He was well loved.

AGUILA, which helps Latino youth gain access to higher education, announced that it has established a scholarship, Parish’s Promise, in memory of the young man who graduated from the program in 2009.

Ulises Ocampo shared a passion for soccer and coached numerous Valley teams. As he did with his sons, he instilled in the players the importance of being a good role model.

Christina Wilson and Vanessa Wilson - murdered in Phoenix, Arizona

Christina Wilson, age 42, and her daughter, Vanessa Wilson, age 14, were murdered on or about March 11, 2013, in their home in Phoenix, Arizona.

They may have been shot as they slept. They were no signs of forced entry into their home.

A suspect in the case was Michael Blanco, who was Christina's live-in boyfriend. However, he was found in a hotel room in Phoenix on March 12, deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Vanessa, the daughter, was a freshman at Camelback High School. She planned to eventually go to college.

Friends describe Vanessa as a girl who was doing good and who made you feel comfortable around her.

Christina was a mother of three, with Vanessa being her youngest. Christina and Vanessa are described as two peas in a pod.

Pray for all who die violently.

Anna Blaze - Hit and Run victim - Phoenix, Arizona

Anna Blaze, age 41, died on March 4, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona. 

She had been struck by a vehicle in a hit and run incident on March 4. 

She and a friend were walking on a city street at about 5 p.m. A car came from behind, jumped the curb and slammed into Anna, knocking her shoes off and sending debris flying 30 to 40 yards. Her friend, Karla, was not hit. 

Both women were roommates at a nearby domestic violence shelter, out for a walk and some shopping.

“She was really excited and she was so happy,” said Karla.

The car sped off. Since then the owner of the car has come forward. It is unsure at this time if the owner of the car was the driver at the time of the incident.
