Johana Nunez and Joseph Suazo - murdered in Golden Gate, Florida

Johana Nunez, age 35, and her son, Joseph Suazo, age 18, died on or before August 15, 2013, at their home in Golden Gate, Florida.

They had been murdered. The cause of their deaths has not been released as of this posting.

Jose Suazo, age 48, the husband and father, has been charged with two counts of second degree murder.

It has been reported that Jose Suazo confessed to a family friend that he killed his wife and son.

Family friends reported that Jose Suazo has anger issues and had previously threatened to kill Johana.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office and other agencies, including the Florida Department of Children and Families, had investigated complaints of domestic violence involving the family previously; including an incident in 2007 where Jose Suazo was arrested on a battery charge. Deputies responded to their house more than five times over a two year period for cases where Jose pointed guns at his son and/or beat his wife.

Joseph was getting ready to start his senior year at Golden Gate High School.

He had a passion for soccer and was an all-star player. He aspired to becoming a

professional athlete in the future.

School officials describe Joseph as having an outgoing personality, likeable, very engaged in school activities and a good student.

Johana and Joseph are survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Pray for justice for Johana and Joseph.

God save us from those who are supposed to love us but who kill us. Amen.

Pray that Johana and Joseph are in heaven. Pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.
