Fabiola Bittar de Kroon |
At about 9:00 a.m. a train headed to the Hoboken station failed to stop, crashed through various barriers and ploughed into the train station itself.
Fabiola was standing on the train station platform when she was struck by falling debris from the crash. Tragically, she died at the scene of the accident.
Fabiola was born in Brazil and was currently living in New Jersey. She had moved from Brazil when her husband became employed in the U.S.A. She was a lawyer and involved in the IT industry. She was the mother of a toddler daughter.
Fabiola had taken her young daughter to a daycare centre just prior to rushing to catch a train.
The train driver, Thomas Gallagher, age 48, survived. The cause of the crash is being investigated. It is uncertain whether the train driver was distracted or suffered a medical event, or if there was a mechanical failure.
Friends describe Fabiola as a good woman who was talented and who had a kind
spirit. She liked to socialize, go out for dinner, and being with her husband, her daughter and their friends.
Light a candle for Fabiola. Light her way to Heaven. |
Fabiola's loved ones are devastated over her sudden and tragic death. They describe her as a beautiful girl inside and out. She loved her family and she was loved in return. She did her best. She will be forever mourned.
Fabiola is survived by many loving friends and family members including her mother, Sueli; her husband, Dann; and her daughter, Julia.
Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.
Pray that Fabiola is in Heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
We all have to remember, in this rushed and hectic world, to say goodbye to those we love. Sometimes we don't get a chance to say it again.
