Joanne Pert - a woman murdered while jogging in Auckland, New Zealand

Joanne Pert, age 41, died on January 7, 2016, in Remuera, New Zealand.

Remuera is a suburb of the city of Auckland.

Joanne was known as Jo to her family and friends.

Just after 9:00 a.m., Jo was jogging when she was attacked on the street by a man who is presumed to be a stranger. She tried to get help from a nearby home. Tragically, she died on the front lawn of the home.

A male, age 24, has been charged with Joanne's murder. His name has not been disclosed as of this posting.

Joanne's friends and family describe her as an absolutely devoted mother. She did everything she could for her children. She is also described as intelligent and warm hearted. She was a sportswoman and was always on the go.
