David Stevens and Patti Stevens - Victims in Texas

David Stevens, age 53, of Sunnyvale, Texas, died on October 12, 2015, at a hospital in the Dallas area.

Sunnyvale is a town about 15 miles east of Dallas.

David and Patti Stevens
David was known as Dave to his family and friends.

At about 8:00 a.m., David was out for a 10 mile jog around White Rock Lake when he met up with a male who stabbed David repeatedly. David was rushed to a nearby hospital where, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.

David is described by friends and loved ones as a very active man who was often seen bicycle riding with his wife, Patti. He was intelligent, kind, helpful and a hard worker.

Patti Stevens described her husband, Dave, as a quiet, polite and humble man. He was the love of her life.

The couple had met while attending university in Michigan. They had been married for 25 years. They had no children.

and at Texas A & M University. In 2012, he left the University and went missing. He was found on the streets of Dallas in an incoherent state. The Police believed that he was on drugs. Since then he has been in and out of trouble and involved in theft and drug possession. His family state that he is schizophrenic and is resistant to help.

He has confessed to the Police that he killed David Stevens. There was no motive for the murder.

In the days following David's death, Patti Stevens went into a state of extreme depression due to grief and loss. She stated that she had trouble sleeping, eating and even thinking clearly after her husband’s death.

Patti was found deceased in the garage of her home on October 25, 2015. The Police believe that she took her own life.

This is all unspeakably tragic. Two people's lives have ended over the actions of a third who was "resistant to help".

The loved ones of David and Patti are devastated by their sudden and tragic deaths. They will be forever mourned.

Both David and Patti are survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss them.

Pray for all who die suddenly. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

God save us from the Lost Ones who bring death to strangers. Amen.

Pray that David and Patti are in Heaven. Pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.
