Christopher Trembler - Veteran and Volunteer Firefighter - New Jersey

Firefighter Christopher Trembler, age 26, died on October 28, 2015, in Pohatcong Township, New Jersey.

Chris was a member of the Huntington Volunteer Fire Company. He had started volunteering as a firefighter when he was 16 years old.

Chris was driving home at about 10:30 p.m., in heavy rain, when his pickup truck slid off the roadway and crashed into a tree.  Tragically, Chris was fatally injured.

Chris had served in the U.S. Army and was active with the Army Reserve.

Chris enjoyed Chevy trucks, playing quoits and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Easton Amvets Social Club.

He was currently attending the Universal Technical Institute studying to be a qualified diesel mechanic.

A fundraising site has been established to help the family with expenses.

The Huntington Volunteer Department is in mourning over the death of their young brother. Comrades describe Chris as punctual, focused and open to challenges. He was always trying to learn and to better himself. He will be forever remembered.

Friends describe Chris as a loving husband and father and a caring man.

Chris' loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Chris is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife, Alicia and his young daughter and son.

Thank you for your service to your country and to your community, Chris.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Chris is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
