Corey Sherwood - a Good Samaritan in Billings, Montana

Corey Sherwood
On September 24, 2015, at about 7:30 a.m., Corey Sherwood was driving on his way to see his sister.

He came across a traffic accident at an intersection in Billings, Montana.

A 13 year old male who was crossing the street had been struck by a vehicle.  The boy is a student at Lewis and Clark Middle School.

Corey Sherwood jumped out of his vehicle and ran to see what he could do. The traffic started getting congested around the accident scene.

Corey was trying to keep the chaos of the traffic away from the boy. The boy was in bad shape and very weak. Corey tried to pry open the boy's airway but his teeth were clenched shut.  Corey tried to stabilize the boy.

He later said that the boy's heart rate was rapid but had come down somewhat.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital.  He is in critical condition as of this posting.

Corey urged all kids to use cross-walks, to exercise caution and to acutely watch the passing traffic, even if you have the right of way.

Corey is a former Infantry Marine.

Corey is also a Good Samaritan.

God bless Corey and all who come to the aid of strangers. Amen.

Pray for the recovery of the accident victim.
