Shannon's body was found at her home on July 3, 2015. She had been buried in her backyard.

Her husband, Joshua Burgess, age 29, has been charged with the second degree murder of his wife.

Shannon's family are devastated by her death but are glad that a resolution has come to this terrible tragedy. They have closure at last.

Joshua Burgess had consented to a search of his home when Shannon went missing.  Nothing out of the ordinary was found at that time.

There was no history of domestic violence between Shannon and her husband, Joshua.  The police had not been called to their home.

The couple had gotten married in the Spring of 2014 and had lived together at this residence for about 2 years.

It has been reported that the couple were experiencing marriage difficulties which

some friends have disputed.

Joshua Burgess is innocent unless proven guilty. However Shannon did not bury herself. Someone committed a heinous act.

Shannon worked as a performance artist and as a stand-up comedian. She is described by friends as a friendly and sociable young woman.

Shannon's loved ones are devastated over her sudden and tragic death. She was an upbeat person who could make you laugh. She could light up a room with her smile. She loved her family and she was loved in return. She will be forever mourned.

Oceans of tears have been shed for Shannon.

Shannon is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss her.

Pray for justice for Shannon.

Pray for all who die young.  They barely had a chance to live.

God save us from those who say they love us and then kill us. Amen.

Pray that Shannon is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
