The Magnitude of the Universe

NASA released new photos to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the launching of the Hubble Space Telescope. 

This is one of the photos:

This is a photo of a stellar cluster known as Westerlund 2. 

Theoretically, if one was to board a spaceship and fly to Westerlund 2, you would have to travel at 186,000 miles per second for 20,000 years.  And you'd be there. 

Photos like these demonstrate how vast and wondrous the Universe is and how insignificant we really are. 

God grant us the intelligence to save our own planet from war and from environmental collapse. Amen.
