Ha Tran - a victim of robbery and murder in Houston, Texas

Ha Tran, age 40, died on April 22, 2015, at a hospital in Houston, Texas.

Ha Tran
At about 9:30 p.m., Ha Tran drove home to the apartment complex where she, her husband and their four children lived in southwest Houston.

A man approached her and demanded her cash and cell phone.  Ha Tran resisted the robber and he shot her twice.

Ha Tran's husband ran out of the apartment complex when he heard the shots in an attempt to save his wife.

She was rushed to a local hospital where tragically she died of her injuries.

A half hour before this tragic incident, another woman near the apartment complex was held at gunpoint and two robbers demanded her purse.  The woman gave up the purse and the suspects ran off. It is unknown at this time if the suspects had anything to do with the second robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's.  He wore a red cap and black shirt and fled in a white four-door car.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the Houston Homicide
Light a candle for Ha Tran. Light

Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

We put this question to the thief who killed Ha Tran: What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Ha Tran and her husband had moved from Vietnam to America to work towards a better life.

Neighbors stated that Ha Tran was a kind and loving woman. She was quiet, kept to herself but often asked neighbors about themselves and their kids.

Neighbors also said that the family was planning on moving out of the complex soon after their children were finished with testing at school.

Ha Tran's loved ones are devastated over her sudden and tragic death. They are lost without her. She will be forever mourned.

Ha Tran is survived by many loving friends and family members including her husband, Bobby, and their four children.

Pray for justice for Ha Tran.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Ha Tran is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
