Jason Swanson - a victim of hit and run in Hollywood, Florida

Jason Swanson
On March 29, 2015, Jason Swanson, age 30, was riding his motorcycle on a street in Hollywood, Florida. He wasn't speeding.

At about 8:15 p.m., he was struck by a dark colored 1987-2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The collision started a fire and the fire spread to Jason.

The female driver of the Explorer got out of her vehicle and so did a female girl under 12 years of age. The two females looked at the scene of the accident and Jason, got back into their vehicle and drove off.

They did not phone the Police and offered no help to Jason.

Tragically, Jason died at the scene of his injuries.

Anyone who knows anything about the crash or the driver is urged to call 954-967-4577 or 954-764-4357, or Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. A $3,000 reward is being

offered for information that leads to an arrest. The Ford Explorer would probably have damage on its lower passenger side.

Jason had attended Hollywood Hills High School. Jason worked in construction. He was also a self-taught musician and tattoo artist. He was into fishing and hockey.

Jason's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. They urge whoever was involved in the accident to come forward. They describe Jason as a good guy and a free spirit, who was gifted, smart, creative and generous. He went out of his way to help people. He will be forever mourned.

Jason is survived by many loving friends and family members including his mother, Laura and his father, Greg and his siblings.

Pray for justice for Jason.

God save us from those who strike us down on the road and then run away like wolves. Amen.

Pray that Jason is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
