Cait Haynes - Bullied to death in Montrose, Colorado

Cait Haynes, a teenager, died on March 24, 2015, at her home in Montrose, Colorado.

Montrose is a city of just over 19,000 in Montrose County. 

Tragically, Cait committed suicide. 

Her family are adamant that Cait's depression and subsequent death were caused by four years of repeated bullying at school and on social media. 

Cait attended Montrose High School. On a daily basis she was either teased, put down or belittled. Her high school life was filled with gossip and rumors about her. 

Friends describe Cait as an intelligent and compassionate young woman. She had recently been accepted into a pre-med scholars program at Washington University in St. Louis.

Family members describe Cait as a sweet, kind young woman who was loving and compassionate. She had a kind spirit and didn't really know how to cope with this

continual cruelty and bitchiness.

Cait's family request that those involved in the bullying of their loved one, change their behavior.

To any teens who are reading this:
~ Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.
~ Do not contribute to another's downfall. Tomorrow or five years from now, it could be you who is being humiliated.
~There is nothing cool about human suffering.

Cait's loved ones are devastated over her tragic death. She will be forever mourned.

Cait is survived by many loving friends and family members including her parents. 

Pray for all who are tormented. 

Pray for all who die young.  They barely had a chance to live.

Pray that Cait is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
