William DuBois - U.S. Military Fatality

William DuBois
Capt. William H. DuBois, age 30, of New Castle, Colorado, died on December 1, 2014, in Jordan.

He was a pilot assigned to the 77th Fighter Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.

Tragically he died when his F-16 aircraft malfunctioned and crashed while he was returning to an airstrip in Jordan.

William was a member of the U.S. forces engaged in the military intervention against ISIS, the Islamic Jihadist group currently trying to gain control of Iraq and Syria.

His squadron had been deployed to the Middle East in October of 2014.

He was known as "Will" to his family members and friends.

In 2008 Will graduated from the University of Colorado aerospace engineering program at Boulder, Colorado.

His military comrades are in mourning over the death of their brother. Military officials describe Will as a valuable member of their team who served his country honorably. He was a patriot who will be greatly missed.

Ashley, stated: "I loved him with all my heart and soul and I'm lucky to call him my husband. And I close my eyes and hear him laughing and see him smile and I'm forever grateful for all the love and joy that he brought to my life. Push it up and double down my love."

Will's family describe him as the best of men. He lived life to the fullest. He was unafraid. He loved his family. He was their hero.

He will be forever mourned.

William is survived by many loving comrades, friends and relatives including but not limited to his mother, Donna DuBois; his father; William DuBois Sr., and his wife, Ashley DuBois.

Thank you for serving, Will.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Will is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
