William Alexander Apps - murdered in South Carolina

William Alexander Apps, age 25, of Beaufort, South Carolina, died on October 3, 2013, in the vicinity of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

William was known as Alex to his family and friends.

Alex advertised his truck for sale on Craigslist. He met two men at a local restaurant at 4:00 p.m. on October 3rd. The men said they were interested in buying the truck. The sale was not completed but Alex agreed to take the two men to another location. He let one of the men drive and he was sitting in the front passenger seat and one of the men in the back. 

Another version of the events is that the two men kidnapped Alex, took him to to meet with two other unnamed men. The group then took Alex on a ride around town before shooting him.

Police have reported that Alex was shot in the head as the vehicle was in motion. His body was dumped in a wooded area and his truck and credit cards were stolen.

Charleston resident Jquan Scott, age 19, of Charleston was charged with murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and possession of a firearm in the use of a violent crime. Isaac Williams, age 20, also of Charleston, was charged with kidnapping.

Alex was a senior at the College of Charleston where he was studying history and international business.

Alex had previously worked as a tour guide for a horse drawn carriage tour company.

Colleagues there stated that Alex was a kind soul who will be greatly missed.

Friends describe Alex as a smart, funny young man, who loved playing soccer.

Still others describe him as witty and full of life.

Many concerned citizens in South Carolina are petitioning for the maximum sentence for everyone involved in the murder of Alex Apps.

Alex is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother.

God save us from the Lost Ones who stalk the Earth stealing away life. Amen. 

Pray that Alex is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
