Mike Stockwell - Law Enforcement - Alabama

Investigator Mike Stockwell, age 45, of Elberta, Alabama, died on September 17, 2013, in Foley, Alabama.

Mike was a member of the Orange Beach Police Department. He had 20 years of service in law enforcement.

Mike had gotten off shift and was heading home. At approximately 9:00 p.m., his unmarked department vehicle collided with another vehicle at an intersection in Foley. Mike passed away at the scene of the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

The cause of the collision is unknown as of this posting.

Mike joined the Orange Beach Police Department in 2004. He was assigned to the Police Department's drug enforcement team and had previously been a member of the Baldwin County Drug Task Force.

The Orange Beach Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother.

Friends consider Mike to be kind, considerate and caring. He was well respected in

He is also described as a very good and honest man and a good father who was active in the lives of his teenage daughters.

Police officials stated that they had a lot of confidence in Mike. He will be greatly missed.

Mike is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his former wife, Kerin Kincey Stockwell, and their two children, Haily Stockwell, age 15, and Callista Stockwell, age 13.
