Nicholas Sell - U.S. Military

Corporal Nicholas Sell, age 21, died in the line of duty on September 16, 2013, during a training exercise at Camp Pendleton, California.

Nicholas was a member of the 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, out of Camp Pendleton.

During the training exercise, Nicholas was inside an amphibious assault vehicle at about 11:20 a.m. when it caught fire. Nicholas died of injuries sustained in the fire. Four other Marines were injured in the accident.

Nicholas was from Eagle Point, Oregon. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on May 3, 2010. He had been deployed on a tour of duty to Afghanistan.

The family of Nicholas are deeply grieving his death and are devastated that such a tragic accident took place, claiming their loved one. They are looking to God for support through this tragedy.

Nicholas is described as a good kid who was just starting out in life, trying to figure out his plans for the future.

Nicholas is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, and two brothers.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Pray that Nicholas is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
