Martin Richard - a little boy killed at the Boston Marathon

The Richard family - Denise and Bill
holding Henry, Jane and Martin
Martin Richard, age 8, died on April 15, 2013, on a street in Boston, Massachusetts.

He was a victim of the "Marathon Bomber" who killed three innocent bystanders and injured more than 200 others.

Martin was attending the Marathon with his mother Denise, his father Bill, and his 6 year old sister, Jane and his older brother, Henry. Both Denise and Jane were badly injured.

It has been reported that Jane suffered the loss of her leg and that the mother, Denise has suffered brain injuries.

They had gone to get ice cream and had returned to an area near the finish line where one of the bombs detonated.

Martin is described as a vivacious boy who loved to run and climb.

Family friends stated that he had a million-dollar smile and you never knew what he was going to say or ask next.

The Richard family is described as a wonderful family. Denise is a great mother. She is a librarian at a local school. Bill is the director of a local community group, and an avid runner and bicyclist.

Saint Christopher,
pray for Martin and
for his family

Martin is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Denise and Bill Richard; his brother, Henry; and his sister, Jane.

Pray for the recovery of Denise and Jane. Amen.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to the violence in this world against the innocents and the children. Amen.

God save us from the psychopaths and the freaks. They are killing us, Father.

Let us pray that Martin is playing in the fields of heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
