Brandon Cyr - U.S. Military

Capt. Brandon L. Cyr, age 28, of Woodbridge, Virginia, died on April 27, 2013, near Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.

He was killed in the crash of an MC-12 aircraft. The cause of the crash does not appear to be from enemy activity.

He was assigned to the 906th Air Refueling Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Brandon was a pilot instructor for the KC-135 tanker and the MC-12.  

He had deployed to Afghanistan just three months ago. 

Friends and colleagues remember Brandon for his sense of humor, his thoughtfulness and his dedication to a challenging job.  He volunteered his time to help young people and had a passion for leadership and mentoring.

Military officials stated that Brandon left his mark on everything he did.  They praised his desire, his energy and his thirst for knowledge.  He was popular and will be hugely

Relatives describe Brandon as their hero.

Brandon is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.
