Tyler Orgaard

Spc. Tyler J. Orgaard, age 20, of Bismarck, North Dakota, died on December 3, 2012, of wounds sustained when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan.

He was a member of the North Dakota National Guard - 818th Engineer Company.

Tyler attended and graduated from Bismarck Century High School, where he was a member of the Century Patriots wrestling team.  He was also passionate about training in mixed martial arts. 

He joined the North Dakota Guard shortly before his graduation in 2011. He completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Afghanistan was his first overseas deployment.

Military officials said that they are saddened by the loss of Tyler.
Light a candle for Tyler.
Light his way to Heaven.

Family members are extremely proud of Tyler and of his service to his country. 

Tyler is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents Josephine and Jesse Orgaard.

Thank you for serving, Tyler.

Pray for the 20 year olds who die in combat. Yesterday, they were just boys.

Let us pray that Tyler Orgaard is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
