He was a member of the San Antonio Police Department. He had 1 year and 7 months of service.
On December 10, 2012, he had responded to a call for service at 2:45 a.m. His patrol car slid after striking a wet spot in the 3700 block of Medical Drive, near I-10. The car struck a curb and then collided with an oncoming pickup truck. Officer Mukhtar was transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to injuries 3 weeks later.
