Apete Tuisovurua

British Guardsman, Apete Tuisovurua, died on July 1, 2012, in Nahr-e-Saraj, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

He was involved with training local Afghan policemen, when a man dressed in a police uniform gunned him down from a watchtower.
Saint Benedict, pray for Tui

Apete was a member of the 1st Battalion The Welsh Guards. He was born in Fiji. He joined the Army in 2010 and the Regiment in 2011.

He was known as "Tui" to his comrades.

Friends describe him as a gentle giant and happy.

Apete is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his mother and father, four brothers and three sisters, all in Fiji.

Let us pray that Apete Tuisovurua is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
