Robert Paris - Law Enforcement - California

Deputy Sheriff Robert Paris, age 53, died in the line of duty on April 12, 2012, in Modesto, California.

Robert was a member of the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. He had 16 years of service.

Robert was shot and killed while he and another deputy were serving an eviction notice at the Whispering Woods apartment complex on Chrysler Drive in Modesto. The deputies were attempting entry into the residence around 11 a.m. when the subject opened fire, striking and killing Deputy Paris and a civilian. The suspect barricaded himself inside of the residence and is believed to be dead. 

Robert is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, brother, and two adult children. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Robert Paris is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

I will miss you Bob. May you be surrounded with Jesus' love. Won't see you at the fair, Woodward lake, or out and about as you served and protected us. This has been very painful for me and I can't imagine what your loved ones are going through.
