Nicholas Rozanski

Capt. Nicholas J. Rozanski, age 36, of Dublin, Ohio, died on April 4, 2012, Faryab province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained during an enemy attack by a suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Ohio National Guard, Walbridge, Ohio.

Nicholas had been a member of the Ohio National Guard since 2003 and this was his third deployment. He had previously served in Kosovo in 2004 and Iraq in 2008. He worked at the Defense Logistics Agency in civilian life. 

Family members describe Nicholas as a natural leader who loved serving in the National Guard and who cared deeply for his men. 

Nicholas is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Pamela Mitchell; brothers - Alex and Keith; his wife, Jennifer and their 2 young daughters.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Nicholas Rozanski is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
