Dustin Napier

Pfc. Dustin P. Napier, age 20, of London, Kentucky, died on January 8, 2012, in Zabul province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from enemy small-arms fire. 

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Dustin attended South Laurel High School where he was the most decorated cadet in the ROTC program. High school officials describe him as a model student. He graduated in 2010 and joined the military shortly thereafter.

Dustin reported to basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, in July of 2010, and arrived at Fort Wainwright, in Alaska, in November of 2010. He was deployed to Afghanistan in April 2011 for a one-year tour. 

Family members describe Dustin as a good Christian boy who loved everybody and who was honored to serve his country. 

Dustin is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents Darrell and Marianne Napier; brothers Darrell and Christopher; his wife Tabitha Napier and stepson, Lane. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dustin Napier is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
