The cure for Disease and the War Scenario

Have you ever noticed how often you are asked by charities to contribute to medical research for the cure of disease?

It happens numerous times per year. You could be walking on the street and there will be a "tag day" for some disease, or someone will come knocking on your door asking for a donation for some other disease or you could be telephoned and begged for money. 

There are so many diseases out there that it is stupefying. Of course, there is cancer and stroke and heart disease, which are the major killers. And then there is every disease under the sun, including Lou Gehrig's Disease, Diabetes, Alzheimers, HIV/Aids, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, etc. I know of a woman in her 40's who died last year of "Scleroderma", which I had never heard of before. 

Apparently, the world has no money for these issues, which can affect us all. We will all die of something in the end. 

However, "the world" has all of the money conceivable, for War. Humans are a war-like, strange species that is power hungry and aggressive. We kill our own kind at the drop of a hat. We even orchestrate genocides and "ethnic cleansings" to make sure that the people we don't like are wiped out.

God help us all. 

I don't have a calculator that could add up all of our various countries' military and war budgets. The number would be too high for a cheap calculator like mine which can only add into the hundreds of millions. 

Military budgets go into the thousands of billions of dollars per year. Some examples are:

The U.S.A. - 685 Billion dollars

China - 114 Billion dollars
France - 61 Billion dollars
U.K. - 57 Billion dollars

Russia - 52 Billion dollars
Japan - 51 Billion dollars

And so on, ad infinitum. Even good old Switzerland, the "Neutral Country", spends 4 Billion dollars per year on military issues.

I could list 100 countries on this blog with expenditures for the military like this. 

And there is no money for cancer research or to do heart research? And no clue about what to do about eradicating Malaria or Alzheimer's Disease? 

Of course not - we have nuclear bomb research to do, and tanks to buy and air craft carriers to fuel and spy technology to develop, and this stuff costs money. 

Jesus, pray for us. Save us from ourselves. 

Angels of God, ask the Father for mercy. Amen.
