Paul Nelson - Firefighter - Ontario

Firefighter Paul Nelson, age 21, of Callander, Ontario, died in the line of duty on December 27, 2011, near Powassan, Ontario.

Paul was a volunteer member of the Nipissing Township Fire Department. He had 16 months of service with the Department.

Paul was on his way to a call when the fire truck he was driving rolled over and trapped him in a highway ditch. He passed away at the scene of the accident. The highway was icy and slushy in sections.

Local officials describe him as dedicated and enthusiastic.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Paul Nelson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
