Daniel Botkin - Firefighter - British Columbia

Firefighter Daniel Botkin, age 29, died in the line of duty on December 29, 2011, in Enderby, British Columbia.

He was a volunteer member of the Enderby Fire Department. He had 6 years of service with the Department.

The fire department was called to a fire at a local log home building business on the north edge of the small community, which is situated about 30 kilometres north of Vernon, B.C. The fire seemed to be under control when an explosion ripped through a burning shed at the site of the fire, killing Daniel.
