Police Officer Michael Pollitz, age 37, of Wayzata, Minnesota, died on November 30, 2011, in Minnesota.
He died of a heart attack while on duty.
Michael had been a member of the St. Louis Park Police Department since 2005.
He experienced an acute medical emergency during the afternoon. His condition deteriorated rapidly and he went into cardiac arrest. He was then transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Family members describe him as a loving and devoted husband and father.
Michael is survived by many loving friends and family members including his mother Barb; wife Ilana; his children Jake and Morgan; stepfather Steve; stepmother Rosemarie; and siblings Amy, David, Eric, Kyle and Lance.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty. Pray for all who die young.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Michael Pollitz is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
