Marjorie Raymond...and all who are bullied to death

Marjorie Raymond, age 15, of Saint-Anne-des Monts, Quebec, Canada, died on November 28, 2011.

She committed suicide after being bullied and tormented at her school for over a year.

Marjorie stated in a suicide note that she couldn't endure the physical and psychological abuse any longer.

Marjorie attended Gabrielle-Le-Courtois High School. When her mother, Chantal Larose, discovered the bullying, she contacted school administrators, but said aside from a few suspensions, nothing else was done.

Based on her daughter's fears, Chantal Larose promised to pull the teen out of the high school and place her in a technical adult institution. However, Marjorie would have to wait until her 16th birthday for the change.

But Marjorie couldn't wait a year to escape her torment.

Even after her death, Marjorie continued to be subject to bullying attacks. A Facebook page mocking the teen's death surfaced 2 days later. One user posted a picture of a bloodied young woman slumped against a wall. As well, the webpage's main photo is a cartoon depicting a man hanging himself.

Pray for Marjorie
In the technological era, kids aren't just bullied face to face as they were decades ago, but now they are bullied by way of Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. You can say dirty, nasty things about others, without even facing them. You can be an asshole by way of technology.

Who are the parents of the hating freaks who torment others to death? Have they not taught their children the most basic human values?

Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for us....when a child has given up all hope and seeks death.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Marjorie Raymond is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen
