Matthew Mason

Matthew Mason, age 37, of Missouri, was killed on August 6, 2011, in the Tangi Valley of Wardak Province, Afghanistan, when a U.S. helicopter crashed.

He was a Navy Seal. He had previously served in Iraq where he lost part of his left arm from gunfire. 

Matthew graduated from Kearney High School, Missouri, in 1992 where he played football and baseball.

Friends describe him as determined with a hard work ethic and devoted to the military.

Matthew is the married father of two toddler sons, with another on the way. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Matthew Mason is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
