Darrik Benson

Darrik Benson, age 28, of California, was killed on August 6, 2011, in the Tangi Valley of Wardak Province, Afghanistan, when a U.S. helicopter crashed.

He was a Navy Seal. 

Darrik graduated from St. Helena High School in 2001 and graduated from SEAL training in 2003.

Family members describe him as an outdoors person and a wonderful man.

This was his fourth tour of duty.

Darrik is survived by numerous loving family members and friends including his wife, Kara and 2-year old son, Landon.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Darrik Benson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
