John Douangdara

John Douangdara, age 26, of Sioux City, Iowa, was killed on August 6, 2011, in the Tangi Valley of Wardak Province, Afghanistan, when a U.S. helicopter crashed.

He was a dog handler with Navy Seals Team 6.

John was a 2003 graduate of South Sioux City High School.

Family members stated that John died doing a job he loved and that they are proud of his service to his country. 

John is survived by numerous loving family members including his mother, Sengchanh Douangdara.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that John Douangdara is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
