Sgt. Alessandro L. Plutino, age 28, of Pitman, New Jersey, died on August 8, 2011, in Paktia province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia.
He was scheduled to come home in 15 days.
Alessandro is survived by numerous loving family members and friends including his mother, Dianne; father, Sandro; sister, Brenna, and fiancée, Natalie Layton.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Alessandro L. Plutino is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
