Kevin Houston, age 36, of Chesapeake, Virginia, was killed on August 6, 2011, in the Tangi Valley of Wardak Province, Afghanistan, when a U.S. helicopter crashed.

Kevin was a 1994 graduate of Barnstable High School. He joined the Navy in 1995, soon after graduation.
Family and friends portrayed Kevin as someone who was a hard worker, loved life and cherished serving his country. Others describe Kevin as having a big heart, being a loyal friend and having a humorous personality.
Kevin lived in Virginia with his wife, Mei Ling, their two sons, Michael, 17, and Ethan, 2, and a daughter, Jana, 12.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Kevin Houston is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
