Brett Fulton - Firefighter - Florida

Forest Ranger Brett Fulton, age 52, was killed on June 20, 2011, while battling a blaze in Hamilton County, Florida.

He was killed when one of four tractors plowing fire containment lines got stuck on a stump. Another tractor came to help, but the flames shifted, trapping Brett Fulton in the fire.

Light a candle for Brett. Light
his way to Heaven.
Brett lived in Columbia County and worked with the Suwannee Forestry Center in Lake City.  Brett grew up in Wellborn and graduated from Suwannee High School in 1976.

Brett began as a professional welder with the Division twelve years ago. He had been a Forest Ranger with the Department for more than nine years. Brett Fulton leaves behind a wife and two grown children in White Springs.

Forestry officials stated that Brett gave the ultimate sacrifice fighting fires to protect the citizens and their homes.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brett Fulton is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
