He was a Deputy Sheriff in Brazoria County, Texas.
Deputy Joshua Waldrop was driving Charles Vanmeter home when their squad car collided with a pickup driven by an 18-year-old man in Manvel. Charles Vanmeter died at the scene. Charles was planning to meet his girlfriend at his home in Pearland for a celebration of his 27th birthday.
Fellow officers stated that he is remembered as being honorable and dependable and charismatic. He is also described as being a very intelligent young man, hard working and very well-liked.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Charles Vanmeter is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
