Lisa was with the 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment, the Royal Logistic Corps, and had disabled one homemade bomb when another exploded in an alleyway in Nahr e Saraj, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Lisa was from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. She was flown home and treated at hospital in Birmingham where she died.
Family members stated that they were extremely proud of Lisa; that Lisa always said that she had the best job in the world and she loved it. Family members also said that she was greatly loved.
Military officials said that Lisa was a passionate, robust and forthright individual who enjoyed life to the full.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Lisa Head is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen
