This is grief |
Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for us and save us from the psychiatric community.
Of course, grief is a mental disorder. People who experience grief can kill themselves over grief. To lose a husband, a wife, a son or daughter can bring you down to your knees. We weep like children. Loss makes us like children.
Everyone who experiences this grief and this loss should be seeing a doctor, with a view to taking drugs to get them through this period of loss, if this is needed.
Extend help to all who are grieving. Help them, if you can. |
Other outlets are your priest or pastor or Rabbi or Imam or whichever clergy person you can rely on. Our faith in God can sometimes hold us up. Not always, but sometimes it can.
Other options are grief counselling groups in your area, who may have support group meetings where you can cry about your loss in front of others and not be ashamed or embarrassed in front of them. They all share your pain.
I ask all of you who read this blog to reach out to all you have experienced loss. Help them. Support them. Back them up.
God knows that all of us, if we live long enough, will experience the death of our parents, our spouse, our siblings and our friends. Some of us experience the loss of our children.
God the Father, help those who have suffered loss. Hear us, Father. Amen.
