Adam D. Jones

Cpl. Adam D. Jones, age 29, of Germantown, Ohio, died April 27, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

He joined the Marine Corps in November 2006 and was promoted to corporal Feb. 1, 2010. Adam deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from October 2007 to May 2008, with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit from May 2009 to December 2009, to Haiti from January 2010 to March 2010, in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom from July 2010 to October 2010 and most recently in support of OEF in February 2011.

Pray for Adam

His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.

Adam's family spoke about his good nature and great pride in being a Marine. 

Adam Jones is survived by his wife and numerous loving relatives.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Adam D. Jones is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
