Pawel Staniaszek

Polish Private First Class Pawel Staniaszek, age 29, died on April 20, 2011, at the Military Medical Institute in Warsaw.

Pawel was with the 2nd Mazowiecka Sapper Brigade in New Kazuń. 

Pawel was seriously injured in an explosion in Warduk Province, Afghanistan, on October 9, 2009. He was transported to a field hospital in Ghazni, where he underwent the first of numerous operations. Later he was treated in a U.S. hospital in Germany and the Warsaw Military Medical Institute. He fought for his life to the end. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Pawel Staniaszek is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
