Spc. Sean R. Cutsforth, age 22, died December 15, 2010, in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, from wounds he suffered when insurgents attacked his unit.
Sean was assigned to the 101st Airborne, based in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Afghanistan in February and was scheduled to return to the U.S. early next year. He was a native of Manassas, Virginia.
Sean received a baseball scholarship to Virginia Wesleyan College, but after three semesters, he announced to his family that he wanted to leave school to join the Army.
"He wanted to serve his country," stated Sean's mom. "That's what we had to let him do."
He is survived by his parents, his three siblings, and his wife Ashley, who, family members say, is pregnant.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Sean R. Cutsforth is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
