He was from Florida. Jose Hernandez joined the Marines after graduating from Lake Worth High School in 2009. Family members said that from the time Jose A. Hernandez was a child, he hoped someday to become a Marine.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, out of Camp Lejeune, N.C.
Jose Hernandez was inspired by his older brother, Don, who also served in the Marines. "He was a great guy. Funny. If you were sad, he could absolutely make your day.", said a friend.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jose A. Hernandez is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
