Jose L. Maldonado, age 21, of Mathis, Texas, was killed December 17, 2010, in Helmand province, Afghanistan. His first passion was to go serve the country,” a relative stated. Jose Maldonado was raised by his aunt and uncle, George and Alicia Williams. “Joe wanted to do better for himself and serve his country, which is why he joined the military.", said a local official.
He was part of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. A riflleman, he was on his first deployment.
We ask the Holy Mother to pray for this man, that he is with God.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jose Maldonado is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
