| Mujahid Ramzziddin |
Corporal Ramzziddin was a member of the Prince George's County Police Department. He had 14 years of service.
Mujahid was off duty. Shortly after 10:00 a.m., a man was attacking a woman during a domestic incident near Mujahid's home. Mujahid was asked to help. He stepped up and confronted the male subject in a neighbourhood of Brandywine, Maryland. The male shot Mujahid, stole his service weapon and fled in a vehicle.
Tragically, Mujahid succumbed to his injuries.
Officers pursued the 37 year old shooter for about 10 miles before he stopped and tried to flee into a wooded area. He was shot and killed by pursuing officers. He had a long history of domestic disturbance violence.
Mujahid was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Mujahid had been awarded the Medal of Valor in 2006.
Mujahid was a devout member of the Islamic faith.

The members of the Prince George's County Police Department are in mourning over the death of their brother. Mujahid was a dedicated professional and a mentor to others. Comrades describe him as a gentleman, giving, selfless, honorable and brave. He will be forever remembered.
Mujahid's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was loving and he was loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
Mujahid is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and four children.
