Military Airplane Crash - Mississippi - July 10, 2017

A terrible tragedy occurred in Mississippi on July 10, 2017. 

A Marine Corps transport plane was flying from the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina, to the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, California, when it crashed in a field in LeFlore County, Mississippi, about 85 miles north of Jackson.

Tragically, fifteen Marines and one Navy corpsman were killed. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Robert H. Cox
Staff Sgt. William J. Kundrat
Sgt. Chad E. Jenson
Sgt. Talon R. Leach
Sgt. Joseph J. Murray
Sgt. Dietrich A. Schmieman
Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan M. Lohrey

The military comrades of these men are in mourning over the deaths of their brothers. These men died while in the service of their country. They will be forever remembered. 

The loved ones of these men are devastated over their sudden and tragic deaths. They will be forever mourned. 

Oceans of tears have been shed for these men. 

Thank you for your service to America, Gentlemen. 

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that each man mentioned here is in Heaven. Pray that each man is at peace and is with God. Amen.
