Kyle Milliken - U.S. Navy Fatality - Somalia

Kyle Milliken
Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Kyle Milliken, age 38, of Falmouth, Maine, died in the line of duty on May 5, 2017, in Somalia.

Kyle was assigned to an East Coast based special warfare unit. He was a Navy Seal.

Kyle was serving in support of the U.S. military operation against Al-Shabaab, which is a terrorist group based in East Africa.

Tragically, Kyle died of injuries sustained in a fire-fight during this military operation. His attackers were also killed. 

Kyle graduated from Cheverus High School in Portland, Maine. In high school, he was a top track athlete. 

Kyle enlisted in 2002 and during his career he received numerous awards and decorations.

Kyle's military comrades are in mourning over the death of their brother. Navy
officials stated that Kyle had determination and a warrior spirit. He was a husband,

father, son, friend and teammate. He was one of the good guys.  He will be forever remembered.

Kyle's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a loving son, father and husband. He was a true professional. Kyle was loving and was loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Oceans of tears have been shed for Kyle. 

Kyle is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Thank you for your service to America, Kyle. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die in a foreign land, far from their loved ones.

Pray that Kyle is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

Pray, without ceasing, unto God for an end to all War. It is enough.
